Feasibility Study to Develop a Third Port and Special Economic Zone at Port Klang in Pulau Carey, Malaysia

Background:

• Pulau Carey (Carey Island), the 10,000ha island in Selangor, is the last piece of land in adjacent to Malaysia’s flagship port – Port Klang, the premier hub of Southeast Asia and the national load center. The mega port include container terminals, dry bulk terminals (grain and ore), and liquid bulk terminals. 

• CPM was commissioned as lead consultant undertaking this national project (final report to the Cabinet) to explore and establish the mega Port-Park-City (PPC) model and concept via the feasibility assessment of the Integrated Port and Special Economic Zone development
